Who We Are
GeniusKid (operating at geniuskid.vividtesting.com) is a safe, colourful online platform designed for children. Our platform provides educational games, stories, cartoons, puzzles, news and competitions specifically crafted for young learners.
GeniusKid is operated by Vividtesting, and we are committed to complying with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Amendment) Act 2008, and applicable provisions of India's Personal Data Protection framework.
Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to run the site and competitions safely:
- Account information: Full name, username, email address, age, and city (when registering for competitions)
- Parent/guardian contact: For users under 13, we require a parent or guardian email address for consent
- Payment reference: UPI transaction ID or reference number (we never store card numbers or full UPI IDs)
- Uploaded content: Drawings, audio files, or video files submitted for competitions
- Quiz responses: Answers selected during quiz competitions (used to calculate scores)
- Device information: Browser type, IP address (collected automatically for security purposes)
- Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on site (anonymous analytics only)
Special Protections for Children
GeniusKid is primarily designed for children aged 5–18. We take extra care when handling data of minors:
- Children under 13 years must have a parent or guardian provide consent before registering for any competition
- We never display the full names, photos, or personal details of child participants publicly without parental consent
- Leaderboards show first name and city only — full details are never shown publicly
- Uploaded content (drawings, videos, audio) is reviewed by our moderators before being shown on leaderboards
- We do not allow children to contact other participants directly through our platform
- We do not serve behavioural advertising to children
- Parents can request deletion of all their child's data at any time by emailing us
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your competition account and login credentials
- To verify payment and activate your competition registration
- To display competition results, scores and leaderboard rankings
- To send competition updates, results announcements and prize notifications via email
- To moderate uploaded content for safety and appropriateness
- To prevent fraud and ensure fair competition
- To improve the site and fix technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations under Indian law
We will never sell your personal data to advertisers or third-party marketers.
Information Sharing
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Competition judges: Names and submitted entries are shared with our approved judges for scoring purposes only
- Prize distribution: Winner names and bank/UPI details shared only for the purpose of transferring prize money
- Legal compliance: If required by Indian law, court order, or government authority
- Safety: If we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of a child or prevent harm
We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or foreign entities without your explicit consent.
Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal, essential cookies only:
- Session cookie: Keeps you logged in during your visit. Expires when you close your browser.
- Security cookie: Protects against CSRF (cross-site request forgery) attacks
- Preference cookie: Remembers your display preferences (e.g. background animations on/off)
We do not use third-party tracking cookies, Google Analytics user-tracking, or advertising pixels. We do not participate in cross-site tracking.
Content Uploads (Drawings, Audio, Video)
When you upload competition entries such as drawings, singing recordings, or dance videos:
- Files are stored securely on our server in a private, non-public folder
- All uploads are reviewed by our team for safety before any public display
- Files are accessible only to our admin team and competition judges
- Winning entries may be displayed on this website for promotional purposes — we will seek explicit parental consent before doing so
- All uploaded files are deleted within 6 months after the competition ends, unless you request earlier deletion
- Accepted file formats: Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), Audio (MP3, WAV), Video (MP4, MOV, WebM)
- Maximum file size: 50MB per upload
Payments & UPI Transactions
We use PayTM UPI for competition registration payments. Here's what you should know:
- Payments are processed directly through your UPI app (PayTM, PhonePe, GPay, etc.) — we do not handle your UPI PIN or password
- We store only the UPI Transaction Reference Number for verification purposes
- Payment screenshots may be uploaded by participants for manual verification
- Registration fees are non-refundable once a competition has begun
- Prizes are distributed via bank transfer or UPI within 30 days of results announcement
- Prize winnings above ₹10,000 are subject to TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) as per Section 194B of the Income Tax Act, 1961
Data Security
We implement the following security measures to protect your data:
- All passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords
- The website uses HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- File uploads are stored outside the public web root and protected from direct access
- SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF protections are implemented throughout the site
- Admin access is protected by separate credentials with role-based permissions
- Regular backups are taken to prevent data loss
While we take every reasonable precaution, no internet system is 100% secure. We encourage parents to use strong, unique passwords when creating accounts for their children.
Your Rights
Under applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Portability: Receive your data in a readable format
- Objection: Object to certain uses of your data
- Complaint: Lodge a complaint with relevant Indian authorities if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

Parental Rights & Controls
Parents and guardians have full rights regarding their child's data on GeniusKid:
- Review all information stored about your child at any time
- Withdraw consent and request account deletion at any time
- Request removal of any uploaded content (drawings, audio, video)
- Request that your child's name be removed from leaderboards
- Receive a full copy of your child's competition data and results
